DASA-TA is a query and reporting application developed for the Washington State Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse (DASA). The purpose of the DASA-TA is to give DASA administrators, county treatment coordinators and providers the ability to generate information about the patients they serve, the services they provide and the outcomes of those services.
This application gives a user the ability to generate information in two primary ways, through running ad hoc queries and by generating standard reports. The ad hoc query functionality gives the user a flexible way to ask and answer questions, while standard reports provide pre-selected analyses on topics chosen by DASA.
Data on patient characteristics and the treatment they receive come from DASA’s TARGET system. Data on the outcomes of treatment come from administrative data sources such as state-level arrest, employment and Medicaid databases. TARGET data will be updated monthly, while data on outcomes will be updated as new data becomes available.
DASA-TA was developed by Looking Glass Analytics with assistance from DASA’s Research and Evaluation and Management Information System sections.
